The initial idea for "Homeboy," the app's mascot, was to be an animal that builds a house, such as a beaver or an ant. I felt a better solution would be to have Homeboy be a home, personifying the user's house and encouraging upkeep.

When keeping up with home maintenance, many homeowners feel that they don't even know what they don't know, let alone are able to keep track of what they do know. Homey aims to bridge that gap with software that will give homeowners personalized home care advice based on their location and home features. This project features an uplifting color palette and simple navigation to appeal to young homeowners who may feel overwhelmed by the amount of upkeep owning a home requires.
